About Rabbat Photography

Rabbat Photography was founded in 2001, when Danielle Rabbat realized her true passion in life was photography. What more exciting job could there be than that of wedding photographer?!   Danielle’s vision of her company is one that ensures a happy and stress free wedding day by providing our clients with competent, enthusiastic and experienced photographers.   This little company grew into a slightly bigger company when additional photographers were added.

It is important to us to establish a good relationship with our clients, and we like to listen to your vision of your wedding day, so that we can be sure to capture everything that is important to you.

On the wedding day, most people are unaware of our presence, except during the family and bridal party portrait sessions, which our past clients have commented we do in a very organized fashion. Our experience allows us to accomplish the group photos quickly, allowing you to get on with enjoying your day.

The initial viewing of their photos is a delightful surprise for most clients when they realize that we managed to capture moments like a ring boy and groom exchanging knowing glances, since they never noticed us and are surprised we noticed them.

Finally, we work with our couples to make sure their album is the way they want it to be. We like getting to know you, so if you have any questions for us, we are happy to answer them.

Rabbat Photography is run on Bullfrog Power, which is 100% green electricity.

About Danielle

Company founder, Danielle Rabbat has been photographing weddings professionally since 1999 and photographing passionately for over 20 years. At age four, she took a picture of her dad holding a sign that said, "This is Danielle's first photograph", with the month, year and exact date.

Danielle did a co-op placement in the photography department of the Toronto Sun, where she learned the inner workings of photojournalism and freelanced for them as well as the Mississauga News.  Danielle then attended the University of Guelph, where she completed a Psychology degree at the same time as she attended photography courses at Sheridan College.  Immediately after graduating, she began contracting her services out to one of Toronto's leading wedding photography companies.  Danielle then started her own company, Rabbat Photography.

Danielle is also passionate about music and acting.  She photographed all the musicians at Manhattans Jazz Club in 2001/2002 and even developed these photos on archival fibre based paper, before making the switch to digital.  She also photographed the musicians at the Distillery Jazz Festival and one of her photos from that event is currently being used as the CD disc cover for Kevin Clark's Jazz Kitchen.

Danielle also took theatre courses at the University of Guelph, under acclaimed playwright, actor, director Guillermo Verdecchia, as well as Judith Thompson, one of the country's top playwrights.  Post-university, she continued to take classes at Toronto's famous comedy improv training school, The Second City.

She has taken headshots for many up and coming actor's and musicians and understands what it is like to be on the 'other side' of the performing world, thus she will be able to capture your true personality and the personality of the characters you wish to portray on camera.

Danielle is an avid lindy-hop dancer. This is a form a swing dance from the 1940s. She also loves photographing dancers, as you only have a split second to catch that aerial or you will not get the shot.   Photographing dancers truly keeps her in fantastic shape for photographing weddings, where the event, (one hopes), only happens once.

About Janette

Janette Rojas has been working as a photographer and an artist for the past decade.

Her oil paintings derive from her vast collection of candid photography that she takes of family, friends, neighbours and just about anyone else.  She has shown in galleries in the Windsor and Toronto areas, including the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.

Her fascination for wedding photography grew out of her interest in turning photographs into expressive paintings since weddings capture very real and raw emotions.  Janette has a unique ability for capturing the exact moment which portrays these strong emotions.

Janette has been photographing weddings for a number of years prior to meeting and working with Danielle at Rabbat Photography.
